Weekly Blog 5 - Modern Philosophy

They say knowledge is power in Modern Philosophy. I believe that because what goes on in our minds mirrors our reality. For example, you want to feel loved and appreciated but no one makes you feel that way. Your mind will always look for that even to the point that you will do anything just to feel that. That is how powerful our mind is. Also, thinking that the impossible is possible can be true in reality. I already experienced having a mental health problem, I had that because I lived in fear. Until now I know it is still in me because I still feel it, but I choose to fight and choose love over fear. How can I fight it? I just think of positive reasons, I just think that every problem is just a lesson in life that can help us to be stronger and ready for our future. I choose to focus on the lesson rather than deal with my nonsense emotions. This modern world is so different, they already know the truth but some are very blind and close-minded because they follow the government and t...

Weekly Blog 4 - Plato and Aristotle

Aristotle is the best student of Plato. They say “The unexamined life is not worth living.” because we are like living in a life full of fakeness. We don’t know anything but we pretend to. This is not the life that the Universe has given us, and I think only humans are paying to live on Earth. We are supposed to spread love and peace but there is someone who’s controlling our world and not telling us the truth about reality. Everything exists even though we cannot see it. The way they see the world is the way I also see it. In fact, studying Philosophy also helped me to understand myself more, and to be more conscious. I was like, “oh, this is my favorite course now.” I was shocked because I don’t know that I don’t know, but now I know. I am the only one who can understand myself unless I write down everything I know and there you can know the real me and my beliefs. That is also applied to this theory, if you know anything, then you just only know what experiences the world gave you. ...

Weekly Blog 3 - What is Sophism? Who is Socrates?

Sophism means wise or skilled. Sophism believes that your reality is based on your experiences and on what you are thought to be. I think they only need to know that everyone has different experiences and reality and needs to learn independently. I was shocked that I believed something related to this topic. I understand them because I am one. All I know is I don’t understand everything yet, but I will always find the truth. Like Socrates, he didn’t state a truth but he stated his experiences and there we found the truth and how he sees the world. It is just like ours, we need to know to be able to also see the truth. For example, the truth about the government is that they protect us and that they are good, but if you will look for the truth, the government is the real fool. They deceive us and blind us to the truth.

Weekly Blog 2 - Sophist to Socrates

I understand the point of Socrates with believing that we know nothing. I think everyone misunderstood what he wanted to say. I have this experience that I knew a lot about religion and God when I was a kid, but even though I know a lot, I can’t feel him because I don’t know how to.  When I reached 18, I focused on studying about all religions, I watched documentaries, I always watched and searched about the reality of the world. Until one day, my consciousness manifested. I started to see the world differently and I started to communicate with God. I may be crazy but I know I can talk to him. Everything went well since I knew him. I can almost see the truth in all aspects. I also want to share my story about trusting God when I was just 6-12 y/o but I can’t feel him before, but now I just realized that since I was a little child, he’s already talking to me, but I can’t see it because it is true that the truth cannot be told. It is experienced by ourselves. Once you are open to the...

Weekly Blog 1 - Why is Philosophy important?

It is important because studying Philosophy will help you boost your communication skills, writing skills, etc. This course subject is more on analysis and reasoning. It can help us to think clearly. This subject will make you conscious that leads to thinking, analysis, and reasoning automatically in our brains. For me, this is important to everyone especially for those who are having trouble with analysis. Human brains are so powerful because it is all inside our head. What we think is what will happen. If you change what you think, everything will change. That is how powerful our brain is. If you think of negativity, negative will come, but positive will come if you think of positivity. What you attract will simply go back to you. So that is why it is important to study philosophy for us to have good empathy and for us to guide ourselves. It can also help us by decision making that can help us lessen our wrong decisions. Most people are struggling with right and wrong and I am sure t...
